Victoria leaned against William's chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. The sorrow in her heart slowly began to fade.

She looked up, her tear-streaked face meeting William's handsome features, and said earnestly, "William, thanks for helping me today. I really mean it."

Despite the harshness she had faced, Victoria still felt genuine gratitude.

William felt his heart soften completely.

Victoria stared blankly at his handsome face, so close to hers.

William smiled, "As long as you know."

"But I also know you'll marry Alice. She's special to you, isn't she?" Victoria asked softly.

William's smile froze. After a moment, he replied lightly, "Yeah."

Victoria's lips pressed together, a hint of disappointment in her eyes. She sighed softly, "I can't be your mistress, but we can still be friends."

"Friends?" William scoffed, as if mocking her naivety.

"Yeah." Victoria looked at him steadily. "I know someone like me isn't qualified to be your friend..."

"What are you trying to say?" William's patience wore thin, cutting her off.

Victoria bit her lip, mustering the courage to say, "Can we end this sordid relationship? I don't want to be your hidden mistress anymore. Can I stay by your side as a friend instead?"

The room fell silent.

After a long pause, William's thin lips curved slightly as he asked, "Are you sure?"

Victoria nodded firmly, "I'm sure."

William's eyes darkened. After a long while, he slowly said, "Alright, but I have one condition."

Victoria breathed a sigh of relief and quickly nodded, "What is it?"

William's long fingers brushed her soft lips as he murmured, "I can agree to let you be my 'friend.' I can even help with your mother's medical bills and your father's debt as a 'friend.' But you have to stay with me for one more month, willingly, treating me as your 'husband.'"

"H-husband!" Victoria's eyes widened in disbelief.

William raised an eyebrow, "Not willing? Then forget it."

"No!" Victoria shook her head frantically, waving her hands, "I agree, I agree."

It's just one month, she thought. It will pass in the blink of an eye.

"Good girl." William chuckled, pecking her nose. "For this month, remember to behave. Keep your distance from other men, care for me in daily life, and satisfy me in bed."

"What?" Victoria was stunned.

"Is there a problem?" William seemed to see through her confusion, frowning slightly.

Victoria shook her head, "N-no."

William's lips curved into a mischievous smile as he leaned close to her ear, whispering, "Then you can start now."

"Start what?" Victoria blinked in confusion.

"Of course, pleasing me!" William's tone was casual, as if discussing the weather.

Victoria snapped out of her daze, her face turning bright red. She quickly waved her hands in refusal.

"We're still in the hospital, it's not appropriate," Victoria stammered.

William's Adam's apple bobbed, his husky voice filled with temptation, "Haven't we done enough in the hospital already?"

"But I'm really not in the mood right now," Victoria's voice weakened, tears still clinging to her face, making her look pitiful.

William's desire grew stronger, his gaze fixed on her luscious lips. His voice was hoarse as he said, "If you don't want to, you can use your mouth."

Victoria's mind went blank, her face turning as red as a cooked shrimp.

She pushed him away angrily, "William, you're a jerk!"

William raised an eyebrow playfully, his large hand gripping her waist, pulling her closer.

"Not willing? Then the one-month deal is off."

"No!" Victoria was terrified. She immediately relented, "I will, I will!"

William's lips curved into a smile as he sat on the couch, motioning for her to come over.

Victoria glared at him, gritting her teeth, and slowly moved towards him, leaning over his lap.

William's large hand caressed her round bottom through her pants, making Victoria shiver slightly.
