"Daniel, I have fantastic news for you. Michael went to the hospital for a check-up, and he's in great shape. He and Isabella have been sleeping together every day, so they'll definitely have a baby soon," Aiden said happily.

Isabella was thinking of explaining her current relationship with Michael.

But when she heard Daniel's voice from the other side, she immediately pressed her lips together.

Moreover, listening to them discuss her having a baby made Isabella feel both strange and awkward.

She wanted to get up and sit farther away, and out of the corner of her eye, she saw Michael busy in the kitchen.

Isabella squinted her eyes, thinking she was hallucinating.

Isabella was both shocked and incredulous. Seeing Aiden still talking to Daniel about having kids, she got up and went to the kitchen.

As soon as Isabella entered, she directly questioned Michael, "Michael, what's wrong with my lips?"

Michael turned to look at her lips for a moment, then looked away. "You wouldn't let me have sex with you, so I had to kiss you."

After saying that, he continued with what he was doing.

He didn't show any extra emotion the whole time, and instead, he seemed to be blaming her.

Isabella was stunned for a moment, and never expected that to be his answer.

She was furious. "What do you mean? Look at my lips, they're so swollen. How am I supposed to go out like this?"

Seeing that he didn't react at all, Isabella frowned and blocked his way, lifting her chin to show him the damage he had done.

Unexpectedly, he directly wrapped his arm around her waist, took a step forward, and pinned her against the door.

There was no one else in the kitchen, only a pot of boiling water steaming away.

Isabella's eyes widened. She never expected Michael to suddenly get so close to her here.

Before she could speak, he said, "Last night, I don't know who it was, but someone hugged me naked, almost making me lose control. How can I not ask for some compensation?"

"Stop talking nonsense." Isabella instinctively retorted, and Michael suddenly covered her mouth with his hand. "Keep your voice down. Grandpa is outside. Play along with me, or we won't be able to wrap this up. From today, you're moving back in. I'll have someone pick you up and drop you off at work every day. Be good."

Isabella's brow twitched hard. She wasn't going to listen to him. "No way! Why should I listen to you?"

What daily pick-up and drop-off? He just wanted to keep an eye on her.

But there was one thing she found very strange. Today's Michael was very different from usual, like a completely different person. Before, he wouldn't even bother to look at her.

"Michael, what are you up to?" Isabella asked.

Michael stared at her without any pretense. "I want a child."

A child that belonged to both of them. Only then would she not run away from him again.

Michael added, "Haven't you always wanted to have a child? Instead of looking for someone you don't know, I'm the best choice. You know my health condition."

"You want to have a child with me?" Isabella frowned, and couldn't believe him.

If he wanted to keep her because of a child, why did he reject her every time during their three years of marriage? Why bring up it after the divorce?

"Michael, what are you really thinking?" Three years ago, she couldn't even arouse his interest when she was naked. Now he was willing to be with her to have a child.

Michael's eyes were deep, and his rough thumb brushed over her lips as he gave a wicked smile. "Of course, I like your performance in sex. How can I let go when I haven't had enough of you?"

"Michael, you bastard!" Isabella's face turned blush for a moment. Her heart had been racing just a second ago, but it turned out he liked having sex with her.

Isabella angrily swung her fist at him, but he easily caught it and pulled her into his arms. Michael teased her with a mischievous smile. "If you hurt me, who will give you pleasure?"

"Get lost. I don't need."

Suddenly, a figure appeared outside. Aiden saw the scene and angrily shouted, "Michael, what are you doing? Let go of Isabella. Do you want to get hit again?"

Isabella took the opportunity to try to run, but Michael grabbed her waist and helplessly looked at Aiden at the door.

"Grandpa, don't you want us to have a child? We're just trying to improve our relationship, and you have to interrupt?" Michael's words left Aiden speechless.

Before Isabella could explain, Aiden's stern face quickly changed, and he left with a smile. "Alright, I'm leaving."

Seeing Aiden just left like that, Isabella was silent.

At the dining table, looking at the delicious breakfast spread, which made by Michael, Isabella was shocked.

If she hadn't seen it with her own eyes, she wouldn't have believed that Michael could cook.

Seeing Isabella just staring, Michael handed her an egg. "Eat quickly. We need to go to the hospital for a check-up later."

Isabella looked at the peeled egg in front of her, her eyelid twitching again, thinking she must be seeing things.

Not only did she see Michael cooking, but he also peeled an egg for her.

It took her a while to process Michael's words. "Where? The hospital? Why do I need a check-up? I'm not sick."

Michael didn't want a child for three years, and now he was in a hurry to have one with her. This wasn't like grocery shopping; it wasn't that easy.

Michael gave her a deep look and said patiently, "How can we prepare for pregnancy without a check-up?"

"Who said I want to..." The ringing of her phone interrupted Isabella. She glared at Michael and looked down to see that it was Daniel calling.

Isabella was startled and quickly answered, "Grandpa?"

Daniel said, "Isabella, I just talked to Aiden. You need to go for the check-up later. I've already sent Chris to pick you up from the Brown Villa. Be good and don't throw a tantrum."

"Grandpa, I'm not throwing a tantrum. Besides, I'm in great health. There's nothing wrong with me," As she spoke, she glanced at Michael, knowing it must have been him who secretly told Daniel.

Otherwise, how could Daniel call right after Michael mentioned the check-up?

Daniel added, "You haven't gotten pregnant in three years. Aiden just sent me Michael's check-up report. He's in great shape. If you haven't had a child in three years, you must have done something behind our backs! Are you avoiding having a child so you can sneak out and have fun?"

Isabella was known for her love of fun when she was with the Wilson Family, and Daniel knew this well.

"Grandpa, I'm your biological granddaughter. Why are you siding with Michael instead of me?" Isabella was furious. What had Michael said to Daniel to make him believe everything he said?

It was clearly Michael who wouldn't cooperate with her, not even letting her into his bed. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been childless for three years. Now she had to take the blame for everything.
