Chapter 72

At Starlit Tavern, Isabella walked straight into a private room reserved just for her, where her favorite liquor was already laid out on the table.

The Wilson Family made their fortune through gambling, and they have an indomitable spirit in their blood.

Isabella thought to herself, 'Isabella, you are the most beloved heiress of the Wilson Family, what kind of man can't you have? Daniel and your five uncles have been grooming you as the heiress since you were a child, not to see you heartbroken and tortured over Michael. He doesn't deserve your sorrow.'

Isabella swirled the red liquid in her glass, as if making a decision, and then downed the drink.

After tonight, she would no longer let herself be trapped in an impossible relationship, realizing it was time to move forward.

Three years of marriage,  which was finally coming to an end.

There was a knock on the door, and Isabella called out for them to enter. Her subordinate Jesse walked in.

Seeing her alone with a table full of liquor, clearly intending to get drunk, he felt both heartache and relief for Isabella.

After tomorrow, Isabella would finally be back.

If it weren't for that accident three years ago, Isabella wouldn't have had to use the marriage contract to force a wedding. She was born to explore a broader world.

"Jesse, what's up?"

"Ms. Taylor, do you want to inform Mr. Wilson about what happened today?"

Thinking of Daniel, who was still recuperating in the hospital, Isabella felt a sudden heaviness in her heart.

Daniel's greatest wish was for her and Michael to have a child, so he could hold her child in his lifetime. Unfortunately, she couldn't fulfill his wish.

Tomorrow, she would completely end things with Michael.

But Daniel couldn't accept such an outcome. His health couldn't take any more shocks.

Isabella took a deep breath. "Don't mention it for now. I'll explain it to him personally after some time."

Jesse nodded, said no more, and left, closing the door behind him, standing guard outside.

In the empty room, Isabella was accompanied by a table full of liquor.

Tonight, she just wanted to get drunk.

In her own establishment, she could drink as much as she wanted, and no one would question her.

Before her consciousness completely faded, Isabella made a call to Thomas. "Thomas, inform Michael to be at the court on time tomorrow. Also, return the $950 million he spent on the red diamond necklace he bought from the Wilson Family!"

If they were going to break up, it had to be clean.

The Wilson Family didn't need that money.

She would find a way to cover the financial gap at the Wilson Group and ensure the company faced no issues.

But as for Michael, she wouldn't give him any more opportunities.

She just hoped never to see him again in her lifetime.

Thomas had always had issues with Michael, and now hearing that Isabella wanted to completely sever ties with him, he felt both relieved and heartbroken.

Isabella, whom they cherished, was meant to live a free and unrestrained life, but she had unfortunately met Michael.

Now, this was for the best. Isabella wouldn't be hurt anymore after separated with him .

The Brown Villa.

At the Brown Villa, somehow, what Stella did to Isabella in the dining room reached Aiden's ears.

Aiden was furious, clutching his chest as he instructed the servant, "Go get Mrs. Brown, I have something to say!"

Aiden had seen everything Stella did to Isabella over the past three years. He had opinions but never voiced them because Isabella was magnanimous and didn't care.

But now, he had to intervene.

Michael was already clueless about relationships, and if Stella kept meddling, Michael and Isabella would be torn apart sooner or later.

He had personally promised Isabella to keep her identity a secret.

But now, he had to stand up for Isabella to put Stella in her place.

Stella had just heard about Isabella going to Indigo's place and was about to call Michael to scold Isabella.

She was stunned when Aiden suddenly called her over for a talk.

Seeing Sophia's serious expression, she felt even more panicked.

She had never been favored by Aiden in the family and rarely spoke to him. She didn't know why he suddenly called her over now, thinking it could be something bed.

Despite her thoughts, She wouldn't dare to disobey Aiden.

Standing before Aiden, Stella cautiously spoke, "You called for me?"

Aiden glanced at her, motioning for the servant to leave. Once they were alone, he coldly spoke, "Have you heard of the Wilson Family from the East of Valoria, the Gambling King Mr. Wilson?"

Stella was stunned and nodded. Before she could ask what was going on, Aiden continued, "Isabella is his only granddaughter."

With just one simple sentence, Stella was left in shock.

She was completely dumbfounded.

It took her a while to react. "Dad, you must be joking. How could Isabella be Mr. Wilson's granddaughter? If she were, wouldn't she be the only heiress of the Wilson Family?"

"What do you think?" Aiden gave her a cold look.

She had treated Isabella like a servant for three years, and now she was scared.

"Let me tell you, Isabella is the real heiress of a wealthy family, a thousand times better than Bianca. Their marriage contract was hard-earned by me. Michael's wife can only be Isabella. From now on, if anyone in this house mentions Bianca, don't blame me for getting angry.""

Stella was too shocked to say a word.

She returned to her room in a daze, filled with regret.

She had even offered a few houses to get Isabella to divorce Michael, fearing she would covet the Brown Family's wealth.

If she had known Isabella was from such a wealthy family, she would never have let Michael divorce her. Such a family background was something she couldn't even dream of.

As night fell, Michael was still at the bar, drinking one glass after another.

But strangely, despite all the alcohol, his mind remained excessively clear.

His memories were full of Isabella, as a child, as a married woman, but without exception she had never smiled at him.

She must resent him.

In three years of marriage, all she wanted was a child, but he had done everything to avoid her, even using hurtful words to insult her.

The current outcome was his own doing; he had hurt her too deeply.

So, she would never forgive him.

As the wine in his glass ran out again, the sadness in Michael's eyes was overwhelming.

His phone rang in his pocket, and he answered in a hoarse voice. It was Thomas.
