Suddenly, this topic came up again. Layla, who was easily embarrassed, blushed.

He really had a professional instinct that allowed him to say such things without hesitation.

Samuel enjoyed seeing her blush and loved teasing her. When she got flustered like a little kitten, waving her tiny paws, he felt an urge to dominate her.

He originally planned to have her bear a child to appease the Holland family. However, after a few brief encounters, he felt like he had found a treasure.

As they ate, Layla kept sneaking glances at Samuel across the table. He seemed to enjoy the snacks here, too.

"I thought you'd be picky," she said.

Samuel said, "I told you, you can't judge people by their looks; you have to see their hearts. I can endure hard times, too."

"Are you going to make up a story next, claiming you became a sex worker because your family was poor or your relative was seriously ill?" Layla squinted at him.

Samuel smiled and said, "You've got me all figured out."

She replied, "Of course. I'm smart and cold-hearted. Don't think you can fool me with such stories."

He teased, "Really? How come I remember you being so passionate that night..."

Layla choked, her face turning red. She glared at him, annoyed. "After all this time, you're still bringing it up."

Samuel retorted, "I haven't forgotten. And a woman never forgets her first man."

Samuel stared deeply at her, his dark pupils seemingly magical, drawing Layla in. Her heart skipped a beat, and she quickly looked away to avoid being captivated by him.

Samuel stared at her apple-red cheeks and deliberately asked, "Why is your face so red?"

She replied, "It's the spice. Are you done eating? If so, let's go."

Before getting out of the car, Layla calmed herself and asked, "You insisted on paying, but you still need to reduce my debt, right?"

'Look at her. Money was all she concerned!' Samuel thought, his distinct features softened by the light, making him even more charming. He said, "I keep my word."

Layla said, "It's good. After all, we're not that close."

Samuel teased, "We've slept together. Doesn't that mean we're close?"

"Don't bring it up again." Layla's face turned red with urgency, but her expression remained cold.

The charm of this sex worker, combined with his deep voice, was too alluring.

Layla asked, "How much is the discount?"

He replied, "Fifty thousand dollars."

Hearing this number, Layla felt more balanced. It was worth enduring his teasing tonight without hitting him.

She opened the door and got out of the car.

"See you tomorrow," Samuel said, with a hint of anticipation in his voice.

Since the first day was so interesting, the days to come would surely be even more exciting.

A beam of light had suddenly shone into his dark life, and he realized what light looked like. He wanted to grasp this light.

However, Layla wanted to avoid him, shaking her head repeatedly. "No, it's best if we don't meet."

Although she was forced to repay her debt, she really didn't want any contact with him.

"Don't say you know me at the company," Layla said as she got out of the car. She had walked a few steps when a strong smell of alcohol wafted over.

"Vincent, be careful," Emilia's worried voice came.

Across the way, Emilia was supporting a drunken Vincent.

"Get away." Vincent pushed her aside, gritting his teeth and calling out Layla, his bloodshot eyes fixed on her as he charged forward.

Layla wanted to run, but it was too late. Vincent's burning hand grabbed her.
