Jacob lunged at Layla, but she dodged swiftly, leaving Jacob empty-handed. His smile turned more wicked.

"I love playing thrilling games."

"Ava? Why is she here?" Jacob was panicked and in pain. "Did she set this up? What should I do?"

"You brought this on yourself!" Layla pushed him aside to open the door.

"What are you doing? Are you crazy? We can't open the door.

"Layla...

"We can't open the door!" Jacob rushed to stop her, but Layla kicked him away. "Get out!"

Layla opened the door. Outside, Ava was leaning on a cane. She looked furious. Her eyes were ablaze as if she was trying to kill someone.

Beside her, Fanny sneered, "Ms. Claire, you see, they've definitely been cheating behind your back. Luckily I found out, who knows how long they would have deceived you otherwise?"

But Ava didn't realize that the worst was yet to come. A more devastating blow was still ahead.

Layla calmly asked, "I still have the recording of him and your cousin at the bar, do you want to listen to that?"

"Serenity? Jacob, you-"

"Layla, I'll kill you!" Jacob erupted in rage hysterically.

However, before Jacob could move, Ava had already lunged at him. She hit and tore at him, and finally, unable to contain her anger, she grabbed his hair and slammed his head against the wall. "Go to the hell!
