Oliver was actually thinking about those kidnappers' feelings? It was already a miracle she didn't call the cops on them.

Susan knew the police wouldn't get involved, but anyone who kidnaps kids should be locked up.

Grandparents? They didn't deserve that title.

Susan frowned and asked, "You want to stay?"

"No, I want to be with Mommy. But if Grandpa and Grandma also..."

Susan almost lost it.

Had her son's heart been swayed by them so quickly? She wanted to call Aidan and Mia robbers and make sure her son never had anything to do with them. Yet, she refrained from speaking out, not wanting to taint her young son's innocence, and bit her tongue instead.

"Having me is enough."

"Grandpa and Grandma are very good to me."

"If it weren't for their nonsense, you wouldn't be sick."

"It's my own stomach that's not good, it has nothing to do with Grandpa and Grandma. Mommy, don't scold them."

Susan didn't want to hear him defending those people anymore. "Anyway, as soon as you recover, you're coming home with me."

Seeing that Susan was already a bit upset, Oliver quickly agreed, "Okay, I love Mommy the most."

But this didn't reassure Susan. In just two days, Oliver had accepted them. What if in the future her son really chose Caleb...

'No, impossible.' Susan quickly warned herself not to scare herself, but she uneasily held her son tighter.

It was still early, and Oliver soon fell asleep again. Susan quietly got out of bed and washed up briefly. She stood at the door gazing at her son for a while before gently closing the door.

When she turned around, she bumped into Caleb.

"Good morning." The weather had already warmed up, and Caleb was only wearing a white sweater, looking elegant and fresh. Standing there, he was like a picturesque scene.

Susan didn't want to pay him any attention.

"Is Oliver still sleeping?"

"Where's the kitchen?"

"Breakfast is already prepared."

"I don't eat your food."

"Oliver needs at least two days to recuperate. If you don't eat or drink, he'll still be sick, and you'll fall ill too."

"I don't need you to teach me. I'll order takeout myself."

Seeing Susan's determined look, Caleb couldn't help but laugh, "No takeout can get in here."

"Why not?"

"Because this is the Eilish Mansion."

Caleb meant the place was heavily guarded and takeout couldn't get in, but Susan twisted his meaning. "You mean outsiders aren't worthy of stepping into the noble grounds of the Eilish Mansion?"

"That's not what I meant."

"Enough, you don't need to explain." Susan was now annoyed just looking at him. "I'll pay for whatever I eat."

"We already have a child together, no need to deliberately distance yourself from me."

Caleb's teasing remark provoked a strong reaction from Susan. "Caleb, get this straight, Oliver was kidnapped by you. That doesn't mean I accept you as his father. I will never accept your unreasonable, absurd, and stubborn parents. I will never live with you and become a family."

"I reiterate, my son is mine alone and has nothing to do with the Eilish family."

Susan's intense reaction was unexpected for Caleb, who quickly raised his hands in surrender. "I was just saying it casually."

"That's because you've already decided that in your heart, which is why you said it so casually. I advise you to get rid of that idea. It will never, ever happen!" Susan said, holding her head high as she walked past him and went downstairs.

Where was that angelic demeanor from their first meeting? Caleb found her fiery side even more intriguing, a smirk forming on his lips.

Susan headed straight to the kitchen. The servants eyed her, unsure how to act.

She ignored them, grabbing oatmeal, blueberries, strawberries, almonds, and milk.

She started cooking the oatmeal with milk and water in a saucepan.

"What are you doing in my kitchen?" Aidan hobbled in with his cane, glaring.

Susan acted like he wasn't there.

"Why are you still here? Didn't I tell you to leave? How shameless."

Susan thought, 'Do you think I want to be here?'

"Oatmeal? You're feeding my grandson this stuff?"

Susan bristled at his voice, especially the "my grandson" part.

"What I feed my son is none of your business."

"This is the Eilish Mansion. You have to listen to me."

Susan laughed bitterly. "If you knew anything, my son wouldn't have gastroenteritis."

"That's because you usually feed him junk, making him weak. If he had eaten better, this wouldn't have happened. The Eilish family has the best conditions. What do you have? And you still want to teach me?"

"Money isn't everything. I give my son the best I can. I raised him, so I know what's best for him. I don't need your advice."

"Nonsense. Didn't you leave him with a nanny while you went out? And you call yourself a good mother? Aren't you just trying to become Mrs. Eilish?"

Susan had enough. "If you're sick, take your meds. Otherwise, it'll be too late when your delusions get worse."

"You, you, this is my house. If I tell you to get out, you get out."

"Why are you two arguing so early?" Mia walked in to mediate.

"Didn't you hear her curse me, saying I'm sick and wishing me dead? This woman's mouth is vicious," Aidan complained.

Susan added honey to the saucepan.

"Turn off the stove."

Mia comforted Aidan and asked, "Is this for Oliver? This isn't nutritious enough."

"I'm his mother. His stomach is fragile and needs light food. Overloading him with nutrition will only make it worse."

"You think you're the only one who knows anything? Caleb was raised by us. Don't you think we know?" Aidan shouted.

"Aidan, she has a point. Let's let Oliver's stomach settle first, then we can add nutrition."

Susan coldly said, "How he supplements his nutrition is my business. Stay out of it."

"We are his grandparents!"

Susan didn't even look up, finding it laughable.

"Stop shouting. Let's follow her method for now."

Ignoring Aidan's glare, Susan calmly poured the oatmeal into a bowl, and left the kitchen.

"Look at her attitude, acting like this is her home?"

"You're so old, why hasn't your temper changed?" Mia shook her head. "Aidan, I need to discuss something with you."
