Chapter 107
Grandpa glared at Adrian Sinclair, coughing in anger.
"I told you to place Chloe by your side, and you sent her to the Creative Department!?"
Chloe's face stiffened.
She forced a smile and gently patted Grandpa's back.
"Grandpa, Adrian made a good arrangement."
She struggled to maintain a sweet, obedient smile.
Frederick saw right through her act.
He shot Adrian a reproachful look.
Chloe explained softly.
"Adrian said she's his cousin."
"They've worked together for so long. They must have good synergy."
"I can't just take someone else's job."
Adrian gave her a cool glance.
She certainly knew how to spin things.
Grandpa held Chloe's hand warmly.
"You're too understanding."
"You should be the one by Adrian's side."
Chloe cursed inwardly.
She couldn't rush this.
She smiled sweetly.
"I'll love any job Adrian gives me."
"Please don't give him a hard time, Grandpa."
Grandpa sighed.
If only his grandson were this obedient.
He looked at Adrian.
"Take good care of Chloe. Understood?"
Adrian smiled in agreement.
"I will."
Noah Watson returned just then.
Grandpa stopped him.
"Appoint Chloe as Director of the Creative Department."
Noah looked at Chloe in surprise.
Director right after joining?
He nodded respectfully.
"Yes, Chairman."
Chloe was displeased.
This wasn't the position she wanted.
Grandpa rose slowly.
"I'm getting old. Time to head back."
Adrian and Chloe supported him on either side.
Grandpa was very satisfied.
At the door, he turned back with instructions.
"Bring Chloe for Family Dinner tonight."
Adrian paused.
"Understood."
Chloe agreed happily.
"We'll be there on time!"
Grandpa left satisfied.
Adrian moved to escort him but was stopped.
"Henry is waiting for me downstairs."
Only the two of them remained in the office.
Adrian lounged lazily in his executive chair.
He looked down, absently stroking his platinum signet ring.
Chloe's inner voice screamed.
This man would be hers.
