Adrian Sinclair continued, "She's mentioned wanting to visit you before, but her schedule at the company has been too hectic."
"I'm finished. Please enjoy your meal." Grandpa set down his fork and knife.
Henry immediately stepped forward to assist him away from the table.
Adrian's words were cut short.
He frowned deeply, watching his grandfather's retreating figure.
When he turned back, his expression had returned to normal.
Howard Lowell glared at Anna Ross with clear distaste.
He studied her delicate features.
She was pretty and pleasant.
She should have charmed the elders.
Why did his father react so negatively?
There was even a hint of disgust.
Vivian Lowell looked at her daughter with concern, gently squeezing her hand.
Anna responded with a calm smile, reassuring her mother not to worry.
She had thought Grandpa merely disliked her.

"Let's go," he said coldly.

Better to return home and wait for news.

After the car drove away, Anna explained, "Leaving work today was my mistake. You can deduct it from my pay."
