The hallway was silent.
She could even hear his rapid heartbeat.
He feigned calm, but his fingers trembled slightly.

She stayed silent for a moment, then finally nodded. "Alright. I'll be there soon."
"I'll wait for you." A smile spread in Lucas Evans's eyes as he watched her turn away.
Anna Ross walked alone down the empty corridor.
Her footsteps echoed clearly.
She checked the room numbers carefully, not wanting to make another mistake.
After confirming it was correct, she knocked softly.
No response came from inside.
She knocked twice more.
A set of shuffling footsteps grew louder from within.
The door was pulled open.
An obese, greasy man appeared in the doorway.
The man's eyes lit up when he saw her.
He leered at her greedily, his gaze utterly repulsive.
Anna suppressed her disgust and held out the file. "Hello. I'm here to deliver documents."
The man glanced at the file and grinned. "No rush. Come in for a drink."
He reached out to grab her.
Anna dodged in panic, but he seized her arm.
She tried to scream, but he dragged her into the room.
She was thrown heavily to the floor.
The man rubbed his hands together as he advanced.
His face was fleshy, reeking of smoke and alcohol.
Anna gagged. "What are you doing? I'm just delivering documents!"
"Pretty thing, I just want you." He narrowed his eyes, fat bunching on his face.
She scrambled up to run.
The man grabbed her ankle and yanked hard.
She crashed to the floor again, her vision darkening.
Fear made her voice shake. "Please... let me go..."
He hauled her up and threw her onto the couch.
His heavy body pressed down.
His foul breath hit her ear. "Be good. Let big brother take care of you."
His hands touched her.
Anna retched violently, struggling desperately.
The man flew into a rage and slapped her across the face.
"Bitch! Don't be ungrateful!"
He tore at her clothes.
Her cheek burned, her ears rang.
She clutched her collar fiercely. "Get off! Don't touch me!"
Her nails scratched his face.
A line of blood appeared.
He choked her neck, his face twisted. "Move again and I'll kill you!"
Anna choked, struggling for air.
Tears blurred her vision.
Despair swallowed everything.
So disgusting.
