Mia Lawrence froze in place.
This was completely unexpected.
She often saw Adrian Sinclair around Anna Ross.
But she never expected him to be so helpful.
After a moment of silence.
She hesitated before speaking. "Anna, does Adrian still like you?"
Anna quickly shook her head.
Her voice rose a few pitches. "No, nothing like that. Don't make wild guesses!"
Mia raised an eyebrow.
She knew her best friend's mind all too well.
The more she explained, the more it proved there was an issue.
"Alright, alright. As long as you're fine."
"We'll talk in detail tonight."
Anna agreed.
After the other party hung up.
She put away the photo album.
She lay on the bed, intending to take a short nap.

The two met at the restaurant.
As soon as they met, Mia pulled her over excitedly. "I have good news!"
"Julian agreed to go see a movie with me!"
Anna could feel her overflowing joy.
She couldn't help but smile. "That's great."
"You must seize this opportunity."
Mia pulled out a chair for her.
She said with a grin, "Of course."
"That's exactly why I asked you out!"
"Huh?"
Anna was confused.
How could going out with her help?
Mia leaned closer.
Her face was full of longing for the future. "To make a plan, of course."
"You know I've never pursued anyone before."
"This is my first time."
"It's hard not to be nervous."
Anna couldn't help but laugh. "That's true."
"It's always been others chasing you."
Mia had a cheerful personality.
She was exceptionally good-looking.
She'd never lacked suitors since her student days.
But she never liked any of them.
It seemed she truly liked Julian Garnache.
The waiter served the food.
Both of them ignored the meal.
They focused on talking.
Mia took out a notepad and urged, "Tell me quickly."
"What does Julian usually like to do?"
"I'll write it down now."
"So I can cater to his preferences later."
Anna frowned slightly.
This stumped her.
She thought for a long while before speaking. "I'm not too sure about that."
"But I know he likes mixing drinks."
"And he especially loves playing the piano."
Mia wrote it down one by one.
Though it was just two simple sentences.
There was a lot she needed to prepare later!
"Sorry, Mia."
"I know too little."
Anna felt somewhat guilty.
"Should I help you ask?"
"No!"
Mia put away her phone.
She said happily, "It would be too obvious if you asked."
"What if he notices?"
As she spoke.
She handed the utensils to Anna.
The two prepared to eat.
This information alone was precious to her.
She never knew the person she liked could play the piano.
It made her even more infatuated!
Anna looked at her best friend's joyful expression.
She couldn't help but tease, "If it weren't for Julian."
"You probably wouldn't have asked me out, right!"
"You really abandon your friends for love."
Mia immediately piled a lot of food onto her plate.
She stated her feelings, "You can't say that."

Anna felt warm inside.

"This restaurant tastes great."
Mia pushed the dishes she found delicious in front of her.
Anna happily took a bite.
