His voice came through the receiver. "Did you forget about the business trip today?"
He glanced at his watch. "The flight takes off in one hour."

Anna sat up abruptly.
All sleepiness vanished instantly.
She had completely forgotten about it.
She hadn't even packed her luggage yet.
The call had already ended.
She scrambled out of bed to wash up.
She haphazardly threw some clothes into her suitcase.
She nearly tripped while rushing downstairs.
The black Maybach was parked by the roadside.
She pulled the car door open, breathing heavily.
Adrian eyed her disheveled hair.
The corner of his mouth lifted. "You're not slow, at least."

Anna fastened her seatbelt before retorting. "Such an early flight."
"You never told me the specific time."
"Of course I woke up according to my normal schedule."
She glared at him as the engine started. "Besides, why did you insist on bringing me?"
"Wouldn't things be simpler if you took someone else?"
Adrian turned the steering wheel lightly.
Amusement flickered in his eyes. "I felt like it."

Anna was left speechless.
She simply lowered her head to play with her phone.
