"Get some rest." Anna Ross spoke softly, then turned to leave.
An arm suddenly wrapped around her waist.
She was pulled back against a burning chest.
Her breath caught.
The sound of his heartbeat was deafening, pounding against her eardrums.
His chin rested on her shoulder, his hair brushing against her neck.
A tingling sensation spread through her entire body.
The dim yellow light cast their intertwined shadows on the floor.
It was like a silent movie.
Memories suddenly flooded back to their university days.
He always loved holding her from behind, saying no one could take her away like this.
Back then, his laughter was clear and bright, his eyes full of light.

She rushed out of the room. The moment she closed the door, she completely broke down.
