Chapter 10

"Michael." Bianca saw Michael, and tears immediately welled up in her eyes. She looked so pitiful that anyone would think she had suffered a great injustice.

She wanted to take the opportunity to snuggle up to him, but Michael called the butler over to avoid her approach.

He casually handed over his coat.

Every move he made exuded the aura and dignity of an heir.

Isabella also turned her gaze to Michael.

Michael's deep, cold eyes lifted slightly, a chilling frost in them that sent shivers down one's spine.

The entire hall fell silent in an instant.

Everyone was waiting to see how Michael would deal with Isabella.

Only Isabella herself remained the calmest of all.

When Bianca deliberately walked over to provoke her, she had already heard the sound of a car entering the yard outside.

Those two slaps were not only something Bianca asked for but also something she specifically did for Michael to see.

Michael walked towards Isabella with a stern face.

Bianca took two steps forward without making a sound, just enough to show the slap marks on her face to Michael.

Michael frowned unconsciously.

Bianca thought he was feeling sorry for her and couldn't wait to teach Isabella a lesson.

She put on her act, wiping her tears and pleading for Isabella, "Michael, Isabella didn't mean it. She might have misunderstood me, so don't blame her."

But Michael squinted his eyes at her, "What are you doing here?"

His icy tone carried no emotion, and not only was Bianca stunned, but even the people around didn't expect Michael to say that.

After all, it was no secret within the circle that Michael liked Bianca.

Even Stella had come out to confirm it.

Logically, he should be on Bianca's side, kicking Isabella out of the house.

Bianca's face changed slightly, unsure if Michael was genuinely unwelcoming or just saying.

She then lowered her head, biting her lip, and replied, "Mrs. Brown invited my mom over, and I came along."

Michael's gaze swept across the hall, and his face darkened further when he saw Harper.

His voice grew colder, "Why did you deliberately seek her out?"

Bianca thought she had misheard, looking at Michael with even redder eyes, "Michael, it's not like that. I didn't do anything to Isabella. It was Isabella who hit me first. You saw it just now. I didn't even have a chance to fight back. It was all Isabella hitting me."

Isabella had no interest in watching their act and didn't even look at Michael.

She walked straight through the living room to Aiden's place.

Seeing that Isabella didn't even have him in her eyes, Michael's face darkened, "Isabella, who allowed you to leave?"

Isabella knew what Michael wanted to do by keeping her. It was nothing more than to back up his Bianca and make her apologize to Bianca.

He shouldn't even think about it.

She didn't come back for him; she came back to keep Aiden from being sad and to calm Daniel.

Her time wasn't meant to be wasted on these people.

Isabella left the hall without looking back.

The veins on Michael's forehead bulged, and he pursed his lips, about to chase after her. "Stop."

Seeing Michael about to chase after Isabella, Stella's face turned dark, "Come here, I have something important to tell you."

"What is it?" Feeling increasingly agitated, Michael casually unbuttoned the top two buttons of his black shirt, his Adam's apple moving up and down.

The sexy curve made Bianca, standing nearby, stare in a daze.

Stella's face was cold, "What do you mean, what is it? Are you going to let Bianca suffer this grievance for nothing? If you don't stand up for her, then I will. I'm telling you, I can't stand Isabella for another minute. If you two are going to divorce, do it quickly. Don't waste time."

Michael's face remained calm, but he felt a faint annoyance inside. "Whether we divorce or not is between me and her. Don't interfere."

Seeing that Michael wasn't getting to the point, Stella felt something was wrong, "So, are you planning to divorce or not? When are you going to handle it? And the news about you celebrating Bianca's birthday last night has spread in the circle. Aren't you going to give her an explanation?"

Michael's eyes darkened, "What explanation do I owe her?"

Stella thought he was deliberately provoking and smiled at Bianca, "Of course, it's about your marriage."

Michael's cold gaze fell on her, and Bianca's body trembled.

She softly called out, "Michael..."

"You should call me Mr. Brown." Michael didn't hold back his aura, and the pressure was intense even when he wasn't speaking.

Bianca's heart trembled, not daring to look directly at Michael.

Last night, she had indeed spread the news that Michael had come specifically to celebrate her birthday and had secretly sent the photos to Isabella's phone.

She hadn't mentioned anything else.

It was the people present who helped her spread the word.

She hadn't expected Isabella to actually come and make such a scene.

The rumors that spread were exactly what she wanted.

Only if Isabella and Michael divorced would she have a chance to marry into the Brown Family and become the high and mighty Mrs. Brown.

But now, she couldn't lose her image in front of Michael.

She bit her lip, tears in her eyes, and approached Michael, "Michael, are you unhappy because I came here? I really didn't mean to. If you don't want to see me, I'll leave right now."

Saying this, Bianca was about to leave.

Stella stopped her, turning to glare at Michael, "If you dare to kick Bianca out, believe me, I'll turn against you. Do you think you'd still be standing here if Bianca hadn't saved you back then?"

Thinking of the past, Michael's expression softened slightly.

Seeing this, Bianca cautiously tugged at his clothes, "Don't be angry. I know it's my fault. You should go find Isabella. She might be waiting for you. I'm fine."

She thought this would make Michael feel even more sorry for her.

But to her surprise, Michael turned around and went straight to the backyard, leaving her without hesitation to find Isabella.

Bianca's nails almost dug into her palms to keep from showing any sign of losing her composure.

Seeing this, Stella felt even more sorry for Bianca, "Bianca, I managed to keep him here, and you pushed him to Isabella. Those two slaps are for nothing now."

Bianca forced a smile, "It's okay, Mrs. Brown. As long as Michael is happy, I don't mind suffering a little."

Hearing this, Stella was even more convinced that Bianca was the wife she wanted for Michael.

Obedient and sensible, far better than that country bumpkin Isabella who didn't understand any rules.

"Bianca, trust me. As long as they divorce, I'll make sure you marry into the Brown Family and become Michael's wife."

Bianca's face remained calm, but she was extremely excited inside. "I'll listen to you."

Michael arrived at Aiden's place but didn't see him in the living room.

He walked upstairs and faintly heard Isabella and Aiden talking in the study.

He slowly approached, leaning against the outer wall of the study, not feeling that his behavior was wrong at all.
