"Do you like it?"

"I didn't look at your chest." As soon as the words left Layla's mouth, she regretted it. 'Am I out of my mind?' But facing a man like this, it was indeed hard for her to stay clear. Her head was spinning.

"So, you're confessing, right?" Samuel bent down, hands on either side of her body, trapping her within his chest.

Layla swallowed hard. He was teasing her.

Her heart was racing.

"Why don't you dare to look at me?"

Layla didn't know how to respond.

Samuel's gaze carried a mesmerizing charm, his voice husky. "Why don't you dare to look at me?" His finger lightly traced her chin, which was as white and tender as jade. Her face flushed, hooked by him, her throat dry.

The two bodies were pressed together, exchanging warmth and escalating sexual tension.

Samuel enjoyed seeing Layla blush. He missed the shy look she had when he teased her in the past; it had been too long since they had this kind of interaction.

"Are you shy?"

Layla was completely speechless now. She was going crazy, and she couldn't handle his teasing.

"I won't tease you anymore." Samuel chuckled satisfactorily. If he continued to tease her, he feared her face would blush to the extreme.

"What are you cooking?"

"I'm frying eggs." Layla's mind was slow to react.

Layla turned around, her back to him, and let out a sigh quietly.

Little did she know, this action made her even more adorable in Samuel's eyes. Samuel's gaze followed her hair, delicate ears, and spine.

Samuel's breathing deepened. He was almost bewitched by her early in the morning.

"I'll get the eggs." Layla's cheeks were burning. 'Why do I feel even hotter when I had my back to him?' She thought.

"I'll help you." Samuel, with his long arms, opened the fridge and took out two eggs.

"Thank you." A strand of hair fell, brushing against Layla's hot face.

She turned on the stove and poured oil.

"You go wash up first."

"No rush." He was enjoying this moment.

While the oil heated in the pan, Layla cracked the eggs and got ready to flip them over skillfully. But her hand was shaking, and she couldn't hold it steady.

A large hand firmly held hers, melting her strength.

Layla's heart tightened.

Samuel then held her other hand, which was holding the spatula, and flipped the eggs.

Layla didn't need to exert any strength, relying entirely on him.

This kind of tenderness was often the most heartwarming. She was defenseless.

She cooked the eggs in a daze.

"You take them out. I'll get the milk."

Layla opened the fridge, feeling a chill on her face, which was much cooler.

Layla's face was too hot. She wanted to cool down for a bit.

But soon, a hand propped on top of her head against the fridge. "Still haven't decided?"

"I'm thinking about whether to have full-cream milk or almond milk." Layla dryly made an excuse, speaking incoherently.

"Full-cream." Samuel took out two cartons of milk from the fridge and lowered his head to kiss her neck, nibbling on her ear. "Because you're already sweet enough."

Layla was numb.

During breakfast, Layla remained in a daze as she couldn't resist his teasing.

Even the sight of Samuel's long fingers elegantly cutting the fried eggs exuded a deadly charm.

"Why aren't you eating properly? What are you daydreaming about?" Samuel lightly tapped her head.

"I'm eating." Layla hurriedly picked up the milk, accidentally bumping her nose.

'Ouch!' She shouted inwardly.

Samuel chuckled.

Layla protested, "You're laughing. You're a heartless jerk." 'Did he know how much it hurt to bump my nose?' She thought.

"It's because you're too cute." Samuel pinched her nose.

"I'm in pain, and you're pinching it."

"Then let me blow on it. It won't hurt anymore." He leaned in as if to blow, scaring Layla away.

"Don't don't."

'What if he accidentally kissed me?' She thought.

"Don't try to take advantage of this to kiss me." She suddenly blurted out.

"How do you know I want to kiss you?"

"Because men are all like that." Especially him, as she knew him too well. He would use any means to be intimate with her as long as he wanted.

Samuel lazily reached out to hold her chin, his gaze intense. "I'm only doing this to you. And you can only be kissed by me."

Although it was an extremely domineering statement, Samuel said it in such a gentle and erotic way that it made Layla blush uncontrollably. She was too embarrassed to look at him, but Samuel's strong presence left her with no escape.

He was indeed an extremely aggressive man.

In front of him, Layla was a tender woman, allowing him to bully her.

Anxious, she could only change the subject. "Just eat your breakfast properly. Stop talking nonsense."

"You don't like me talking, so, do you prefer me to take action?"

'Can Samuel say something serious for once?' She thought.

Annoyed, she glared at him, but her blushing face carried a hint of coquettishness and annoyance, making her look adorable.

Samuel's throat tickled even more.

"If you keep behaving like this, I won't let you stay the night at my house next time."

"There's a next time?" Samuel was quite optimistic.

"Next time, I'll definitely leave you to sleep on the road," Layla said irritably.

"I bet you wouldn't."

'Wouldn't I? What a joke. I would do that!' She thought.

"How much are you betting?" Layla asked immediately.

"I bet my entire fortune."

"Ok, the Holland Group should be ready to be renamed the Adkins Group."

"If you like, you can change it now. What's mine is yours, and I'm also yours!"

'This cunning rogue! His every word was a trap!' She thought.

Layla conceded defeat.

Half an hour later, the two walked out of the apartment.

"Boss, Miss Adkins." Mr. Vandella opened the door happily, clearly misunderstanding something.

Layla certainly wouldn't clarify it on her own, which would even make things more conspicuous.

"I'm leaving."

"I'll walk you out."

"No need. I'll take the bus ahead."

"Yes."

"Alright." Samuel took off his scarf and put it around her neck.

"I don't need it. I'm not cold." Layla shrank back. "This is a men's scarf."

"I know."

Layla suddenly realized that he wanted her colleagues to think she had a boyfriend. His domineering nature hadn't changed. He just found a more subtle way.

She resisted even more.

But after pushing and shoving for a while, she ultimately succumbed to a simple sentence. "Don't catch a cold."

'Women always lose to sweet words.' She thought.
