Chapter 4
Layla was innocent, but after what happened last night, she quickly realized what was going on. Her face flushed with embarrassment and anger. She thought, 'A sex worker has such strong sexual desire!'
Suddenly, she felt her hands were dirty.
"Enjoy your meal." Layla hurriedly stood up, but having knelt for too long, her legs were sore and numb, and she had no strength, so she directly sat on Samuel's lap.
Layla's face turned bright red with embarrassment, and she quickly propped herself up, her hands landing on either side of Samuel's shoulder.
Samuel was bewildered, finding himself with Layla suddenly sitting on his lap in such an ambiguous position.
Layla was on the verge of tears, their faces were very close. Her eyes filled with panic as she nervously bit her lip.
Samuel's deep eyes, sharp and sexy, burned into her heart. Her heartbeat was racing.
The young girl's fragrance sprayed onto Samuel's face, like a feather tickling his heart, making it itch.
He was always a man of few desires, and he considered sexual desires to be the most base, but at this moment, her lip-biting expression made him want to kiss her.
Samuel wondered, 'Could it be that a man feels particularly different about the woman he has his first sexual encounter with?'
Samuel stared at her red lips, his eyes dazed.
He was enchanted and about to kiss her when Layla pulled away, her legs finally not as sore.
Samuel kissed the air and smiled wryly.
"Do you think you can leave after wetting Mr. Holland's pants?" Joseph propped his legs on the coffee table, blocking Layla's way. "Either lick it dry or spend the night with Mr. Holland, your choice."
Layla's face turned pale, and she said sarcastically, "Sorry, I'm a waitress here. If you want fun, find a prostitute."
With that, she stepped over Joseph's legs and left.
Samuel watched Layla's angry back, smiling wryly.
She had quite a temper. He suddenly had an itch to smooth down her bristling bunny tail.
Layla wanted to leave the bar immediately, but she had agreed to work until 2 a.m, so she had to continue working.
She carried three bottles of wine to booth number 10, where a group of wealthy young men in their early twenties were being loud and rowdy.
Layla put down the wine and was about to leave, but a red-haired rich kid stopped her, insisting she drank with them, and forcibly pulled off her mask.
"Layla Adkins?" A startled voice came
Layla froze; the voice belonged to her younger brother, Owen Adkins.
She wondered, 'He is a poor student. How could he be hanging out with this group?'
A wealthy young man asked, "Owen, didn't you say your family was wealthy? Why does your family work here?"
Owen regretted calling out Layla's name, feeling very embarrassed and immediately angry. He shouted, "Is this what you do for your part-time job? Have you no shame?"
Layla felt hurt by his accusation and said, "I'm a waitress here. It's a legitimate job."
Owen said, "In places like this, as long as you pay, you can make a girl do anything. Everyone knows!"
Layla sneered. "Really? How much can you pay? Right, you often steal my money."
The wealthy young man said, "So, you were pretending to be rich. No wonder you always said you were going to the bathroom when it was time to pay. Liar."
Owen's face was full of shame and anger. He retorted, "She's slandering me. Don't believe her."
The wealthy young man advised, "How about letting her spend the night with me, and I won't expose you?"
Owen said without hesitation, "Do whatever you want with her."
"Owen!" Layla was furious.
Owen remarked, "You came here on your own, so you deserve it."
"Owen is so bad. Let me take care of you." The red-haired rich kid reached out to hug Layla, and in a panic, she kicked him hard in the shin.
