Mark's expression froze instantly.
He looked blankly at Adrian Sinclair.
"Wait, how do you know I'm not her type?"
"What if she likes someone like me?"
He glanced down at himself.
Tall and well-built.
Handsome face.
Fashionable style.
So many girls here had shown interest in him.
He hadn't been interested in any of them.
"She has a boyfriend." Adrian stared at the ceiling.
His voice was low.
"Stop fantasizing."
"Don't think about getting anything from her."
Each word felt like a needle piercing Mark's heart.
He dramatically clutched his chest.
"Why didn't you say so earlier?"
"I thought she was single."
It was rare for him to feel this way.
And she was already taken.
Anna Ross returned with the medicine.
She overheard the conversation and paused beside the sofa.
Since when did she have a boyfriend?
Mark pulled out his phone and showed a photo.
He held it in front of Adrian.
"Satisfied with how we handled it?"
Adrian glanced at the photo.
His eyes turned icy.
"Daring to cause trouble on your turf."
"Seems your influence isn't that strong."
The thought of that man's filthy hands touching Anna made him furious.
He wanted to break those hands.
Mark looked at the photo, then at Adrian.
"The guy's already beaten to a pulp."
"You're still not satisfied?"
The person in the photo was bloody and unrecognizable.
Even Mark found it disturbing.
Suddenly, Mark realized something.
He put away his phone and smirked.
"Mr. Sinclair, is her boyfriend you?"
It was just a touch.
But Adrian's look was murderous.
Too obvious.
Adrian gave him a cold glance.
Neither denying nor confirming.
Anna tightened her grip on the medicine bag.
Her palms were sweaty.
She didn't understand why she felt nervous.

"I mean, I'm on a business trip."

"No, I went back to my hometown." Julian put down his wine bottle.
He gazed at the distant sky.
