Adrian Sinclair didn't stop her.
The elevator halted.
The others quickly said their goodbyes.
Adrian pulled Anna Ross from the corner.
He dragged her outside.
They reached the car.
He shoved her into the passenger seat.
"What do you want?"
Anna tried to escape.
He held her down.
The man leaned in close.
His lips brushed her cheek.
"Come with me after work."
"What do you think I want?"
Anna's heart raced.
She wiped the sensation from her face.
He's insane.
He fastened his seatbelt.
Slammed the car door.
The vehicle moved.
It finally stopped before a villa.
Anna scanned the surroundings.
She didn't recognize this place.
"Where is this?"
"My home," he replied flatly.
He stepped out.
His home?
Anna remained frozen.
She couldn't decipher his intentions.
Adrian urged her.
"Get out."
Seeing her hesitation, he leaned by the window.
"Need me to carry you?"
Anna immediately exited the car.
She walked ahead quickly.
Adrian always acted so arrogantly.
He constantly opposed her.
"Why bring me to your home?"
"I'm alone here."
"Don't be nervous," he glanced at her.
He walked ahead.
Anna's gaze flickered.
She resisted entering through that door.
After a moment's hesitation, she followed him inside.
Just past the entrance, Adrian pinned her against the wall.
He pressed close to her ear.
"What's your relationship with Leon Castillo?"
He nibbled her earlobe.
Anna shuddered violently.
She pushed him away forcefully.
"I don't know him."
"Stop imagining things that don't exist."
Adrian licked his lips.
A slight smile touched the corners of his mouth.
"Is that so?"
"Then why did you meet him?"
"He told me."
"If you have questions, ask him."
Anna glared at him angrily.
This man was too stubborn.
He demanded explanations.
Yet he never believed her.
Adrian fell silent.
He walked to the coat rack.
Removed his jacket.
"What are you doing?"
"Don't do anything reckless!" Anna retreated to the sofa.
His home was spacious.
Minimally decorated.
It felt stark.
The man chuckled softly.
He rolled up his sleeves.
Walked into the kitchen.
His voice carried from a distance.
"I'm hungry."
"Come help."
Anna gritted her teeth and glared.
She set her things down.
Reluctantly followed him into the kitchen.
Adrian retrieved vegetables from the refrigerator.
"I rarely come back here."
"Usually stay at Grandpa's."
"Not much food at home."
"Any dishes you're good at making?"
Anna froze.
Memories of their rented apartment days surfaced.
They used to cook together.
She only helped wash vegetables.
He never let her overexert herself.
