"Anna!"
A voice pierced the silence.
Anna Ross snapped back to reality.
A cool breeze brushed against her skin.
She realized with horror that her blouse had come undone.
Pale skin was exposed to the air.
Footsteps approached from a distance.
Anna looked up in panic.
She struggled to push Adrian Sinclair away.
The man didn't budge.
Adrian gripped her wrists.
His deep eyes burned with intense fire.
He lowered his head and bit her earlobe.
His voice was low and dangerous. "Keep struggling, and I'll let everyone see."
Anna froze instantly.
She curled into his chest, not daring to move.
Her eyes remained fixed on the outside.
Lucas Evans' voice was now dangerously close.
"Anna, are you there?"
Anna squeezed her eyes shut.
Her fingers dug into Adrian's arm.
The footsteps paused for a moment.
Finally, they faded into the distance.
She let out a long breath.
Her hands hurriedly adjusted her clothing.
Adrian released her.
His fingers absently traced his platinum signet ring.
His tone was icy. "Stay away from other men."
Anna turned her face away.
She fastened the last button.
Her voice was distant. "Does the CEO even control his assistant's personal life?"
Adrian's eyes darkened.
"You know what happens if you disobey."
He turned and walked away.
Anna bit her lip, glaring at him.
The man looked impeccably dressed and composed.
She was left disheveled and humiliated.
She forced herself to stay calm.
Quickly, she followed him.
After only a few steps, dizziness overwhelmed her.
Cold sweat instantly soaked through her back.
Her heart raced uncontrollably.
Her limbs began to tremble without command.
Adrian's figure grew increasingly blurry.
She reached out, trying to grab something.
But her hand met empty air.
Complete darkness swallowed her vision.
Adrian noticed the silence behind him.
He turned back impatiently, then his pupils contracted sharply.
Anna lay pale and collapsed on the ground.
His heart clenched violently.
He rushed over and gathered her into his arms.
